Non Stress Test (NST)
For about 20 minutes, we evaluate the baby's condition by monitoring the baby's heartbeat, the baby's movements and uterine contractions, if any.
When to do NST
NST is a test we frequently use in pregnancy follow-up. It is usually performed after 35-36 weeks of pregnancy. In risky and multiple pregnancies, it is started to be taken after the 28th week.
What are the reasons for performing NST?
- We want you to check your own blood sugar levels at home
- A dietitian will prepare a special nutrition program for you and a regular light exercise program until the birth/li>
- Some women with gestational diabetes may also need insulin to keep blood sugar levels under control
- To check your baby's health, we perform additional ultrasound scans and electronic fetal monitoring (NST).
